Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by. I haven't written in awhile. It has been a busy couple of weeks. Since my wellness coach visit I have visit the Y at least twice. I really enjoyed it and want to make it more of a regular habit then I have been.
I did the machines once. I haven't been back to do them again. I also tried the Body Pump class on Saturday and I loved it!! I want to make it a regular occurrence. I was sore the next day but I loved that feeling.
I have also been busy with the BLC 19 challenge. I love the motivation I am getting from the Golden Phoenix and members of all the teams. I find myself wanting to do more exercise, eat the fruits and veggies, watch my fat and sodium in take.
My real life has also kept me busy. Right now we are negotiating at work for a new agreement for the group that I belong to. Last week we received a counter offer and we were not happy about it. The raise that they offered us isn't even a raise. Last year we took a pay freeze to help the school district balance the budget and they want to repay us with a raise that doesn't even help with inflation costs. The teachers didn't take a pay freeze last year but all other groups did. I love teachers and know that they work hard but it gets tiring to hear them complain about how little they make when some of them shouldn't be teaching anymore. To get the teachers to retire they offered an incentive. Any teacher that retires will get a $15,000 bonus. So I don't see how the school district can do that but can't afford to give the secretaries a little more then .15 cents raise. We only have 18 in our group and we are the lowest paid compared to other districts near us. Our district just doesn't get it. Okay rant over about that.
Today I had planned to go to the Y to try a Body Toning or Conditioning class. I can't remember the exact name. I didn't get to go. My son is in need of a car and asked me to go with him. So I took a 1/2 day and went with him. We didn't think we would be there for over 3 hours but we were. So by the time we got home I still had to eat lunch. So instead I did Jillian Michael's 30 DS level 2 again and a 10 minute kickboxing boot camp. I got in 60 minutes of cardio today and will be trying to get more in before bed.
I almost wasn't going to do any cardio but then I had a very disturbing phone call from my soon to be ex. He called about our son and getting a car. He was yelling at me and just really getting me angry. Well let's just say that I was angry and I wanted to punch something or someone. So I did what I have learned to do and that is to take it out during my exercise. I focus on the exercise instead of the anger.
Now for COHP I have to blog about either an excuse or obstacle I use or have. So I am a picky eater and I will use that as a reason not to try new foods. Some of the foods are healthy and some of them aren't. I have started to stop saying that I am a picky eater and that is why I won't eat something. I will try something if I am out with someone and they get something I usually won't eat. That is what I have started to do to break that excuse.
So now I am going to go.

2. The rain to make the flowers grow.
3. My son that is willing to learn from his mistakes.
