We finally got our keys to our new apartment last night which is super exciting!
The less exciting part is the packing and moving, but I'm gonna look at it as strength training and the three sets of stairs as cardio. I wonder how many calories I can burn...
I finally have my 'set' schedule at work, starting today I'll be working from 3pm-11pm which works out really well. It gives me the chance to bring things to the new apartment and set them up and it gives me time to spend with my mom who just got home from the hospital. So, working today through Friday from 3pm-11pm means I've got this weekend off (last one!) and go into work for CPI training on Friday the 25. Then I officially start my 3-11pm on the weekends gig.
That's 48 hours a pay period-24 in a week. However, they are ALWAYS looking for people to cover short shifts which I have no problem doing. They seem to be more empty on 11pm-7am so I was considering doing a double on Sundays meaning I'd work from 3pm Sunday afternoon to 7am on Monday morning. It really wouldn't take anything away from being off during the week, it just means I'd come home and take a nap Monday morning. It would also give me an extra 16 hours in a pay period bringing me to 32 hours a week (which for a lot of places is full time.) I'd still get my shift difference plus weekend pay... for 21.00 on the weekends, that's not too shabby!
Just looking for some options, and that doesn't seem like it'd be too terrible. Maybe I'll see how the summer goes first.
