WAAAAAAAAY OVER ON CALS, CARBS AND FATS....

YEAH, I KNOW.....I KNOW..... but it's my birthday and I just had to have me some country fried steak with gravy, smashed potatoes (they did have the peels still on) and baked squash....which Dixie Cafe really is good at.....with no less than two.........*sigh* yes, two.......it's the DH's fault...he plied me with those tempting rolls....how could I resist such a handsome sweetie.......okay, that's not fair.......it is my own fault......but it's not every day that a gal turns 68.........*groan* when did I get that old??......my brain keeps telling me I am only as old as I feel and some how I never turned 40 in that brain.....wellllllllll, okay. so that is an illusion.....but I still got some really good years ahead of me.....so I need to get my engine in gear and resolve to forget that I was sooooooo bad today and start moving this train forward and making some progress..........

I can do it!!! Yes, I can .......I have before and I CAN DO IT AGAIN!!! I am not going to beat myself up over what I ate today..........because it is not an everyday occurrence......but I do have to psych myself up to really get serious and stay focused on what is important...

If you are wondering if this is me giving myself a much needed pep talk........OHHH, YEAH.....IT IS.....I may have gotten sidetracked today but I am firing up my want to....and more than that, stoking up my furnace so that this little engine has no choice but to hit that track, FULL SPEED AHEAD.....

    HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! Glad you enjoyed your birthday dinner. Put it behind you but know that you can enjoy your birthday memories any time you want. You are young enough to still have a great time. Age is just a number and I know you still feel like you are 21 just like me! Have a great work doing what is best for you and enjoying yourself!!

    Happy Birthday to you and I do hope you enjoyed that special birthday dinner, for you will not eat like that again for one year. Smile!!!
It was only one day. If you track for the week, and round it all out you can still be in the proper calorie range.
When I know that I am going to over indulge, I balance the other days out to account for the one special day.
One day of over eating won't cause a weight gain, it's repeated days that one has to watch out for.
You are right it's not every day one turns 68, but since you are looking forward to 78 in good health and fitness, it's get back on track time. As you already know, since you are blogging about it.
Some people wouldn't admit to over eating, you have. You faced what you did and are going to work hard to be in the right calorie range for the rest of the month.

    I personally think since we only have a Birthday once a year it's not the day we're going to eat the healthiest especially when we go out to eat to celebrate. I just hope you enjoyed every bite of your delicious dinner. Today is a new day and not your Birthday so it's a new day to carefully track and eat healthy and stay within your calorie range. I know you can do it as you've done it so well. Just keep moving that train along and let's hope it's a straight track to onederville. I want nothing but the Best for You.
