Last night marked another post-injury milestone for me. I pulled out my Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 DVD. I've sent 30 Day Shred away to a new home as I had a friend who wanted to try it out, so Ripped and I had a date. It went well. I think we'll do it again soon.
Just hearing the music from the DVD start thumping out of my TV speakers made me excited... I felt like I was standing at the starting line of a race! It was THAT exciting! I started doing a little hop back and forth on the balls of my feet and when she said "Let's get started" Buddy, you better know this chic was READY.
I made it through. There were a couple things I wasn't quite ready for, but only things that involved the shoulder. Besides that, I was golden. My cardio capacity is good and I felt AWESOME when I got done. A good way to start off a new week. I can't wait to do it again tonight! :)
Last week went well. I am so proud that I only ate out ONCE at work all week and then 2 meals this weekend - BOTH of which were SUPER healthy with lots of veggies. So things are looking up. Mother's Day was very nice and I told my hubby I didn't really want to go out to eat. Instead, I tried my hand at making some Gluten Free scones and bread and they turned out so good that I went crazy and made a big tea party that was ready for him when he got home. So, basically, I made a tea party for myself for Mother's Day. And it was FABULOUS. My husband just shakes his head at me.
Plan for this week is pretty much try my darnedest to repeat last week. Hopefully I can keep up at work and even if I don't, I can just leave it at work at 4:00 each day. No taking that stress home!!!
On a very happy note, we are heading out on Friday to go camping at a very neat place I've never been before... Savannah, GA. I'm pretty excited about going to the beach, since I haven't been in a really, really long time. I'm even more excited about logging some mileage on the beach. And even MORE excited about scouting out some good restaurants to try out while we're there... :)
Well... Time for me to get to work... And wait patiently for delayed-onset-muscle-soreness to kick in from my date with Jillian after 2 months of separation...
