This is the second year the kids, my dad and I did the Mother's Day Race. It's 1/2 mile on the lake and it's just a fun race to do. Everyone gets a ribbon and a chocolate bar from a local candy company when you cross the finish line. Last year, the kids smoked us! Jake ran it in 6:30, Katy in 7:30, and my dad and I came in at 8:20.

This year, we all did a little better. Jake could have gone much faster, but he decided to stay with me, so Jake, Katy and I crossed the line at 6:15. SUPER impressed with myself! And dad beat his time by almost a full minute crossing at 7:30.

We had a great time!!! Oh, and my race shirt is a regular size LARGE, and it fit nicely ; ) No "X's" or numbers in front of it, just an "L." That is something to be REALLY excited about!!!
