An easy walk day

...and Happy Mothers' Day

Sunday is always my 'rest day' which doesn't mean that I take off from cardio. It means that I do a walk of 20 minutes - no more, no less - at some speed faster than 18 min/mile. Twenty minutes is my minimum cardio workout and the rate of 18 min/mile qualifies as cardio.

I got up this morning around 0400hrs when the outdoor lights came on at the next door house where the folks are on vacation. The good thing is that it was the adult kid who is watching the house for them. I did manage to go back to sleep, however, which is something I find it hard to do once I'm up.

After that, I slept like a rock until a little after 0700hrs which is late for me. I got up, had a scrambled egg, and headed out the door. It's cool the past few mornings and today was no exception. I did the twenty minutes and came back inside. The effort was:
