Cute Goal Meter

Sunday, May 13, 2012

I've been going to post a pic of my little goal meters, but I didn't have a picture of it on my phone to upload. Now I do and now I put it on SP. I made these up one night at work after I did some thinking. I was thinking about the fact that I needed to lose 100+ pounds. I was also thinking about the fact that it was probably going to take over a year to lose that much. Both the 100+ pounds and the 1 year+ seems SOOOO OVERWHELMING! So I decided to break it down into 10 pound goals. I cut and pasted and drew until I came up with these goal meters. Each one represents 10 pounds. 10 pounds seems doable. I always color the part at the top that says Casey's Goals when I start a new one and how ever many pounds into that 10 I have lost. Then when I color in that 10th pound, the top gets "blown off" and I color the surrounding area. They might be a little juvenile but I really like them. I have two complete ones hanging on my wall already from before SP. I am working on the 3rd one. Once it is done that will be THIRTY pounds lost. By the time I am done, I will have 10+ finished ones all in a row. It WILL be the first time I will be able to look back after one year and say that I didn't stay fat another year. emoticon

What a great idea!!! I think I may have to make one of those also. I think I will put it in the bathroom next to the mirror so every time I look in the mirror at myself I can also see it!! Thanks for the great idea. emoticon

That sounds like a great idea! I think I may make one and post it on my fridge. I have a hard time seeing changes since I'm wearing the same clothes (my clothes were always baggy on me) as I was before losing weight. With these meters I can visualize the loss and it won't seem so arbitrary!! Thanks for inspiring me today!
