This was amazing and I felt lucky just to be there.
Revlon Ambassador Halle Berry in all her beauty and talent cheered the crowd on!
A 5K Run/Walk, Health Expo & Celebration to raise awareness and critical funds for women's cancer research. More than 40,000 joined forces on Mother's Day weekend in an amazing display of support for women.
Loved all of the adorable get ups and displays of enthusiastic support!
IN IT TO END IT!
My big sister Margaret got her medal from this guy then they did a happy dance!
My Sister Sara is an amazing human being and I was proud to walk with her.
I am sooooo happy you are the type of person to do things like this - I'm so glad to know you and so sorry I've been too busy to keep up with blogs and sparking for awhile - but I'm trying to get caught up now ;-) 1808 days ago
Ann this event took at Exposition Park home of the California Science Center. The plan in the background of the video is the only A-12 trainer ever built. It flew more flights and spent more hours in the air than any other A-12, by far. The trainer has two cockpits: one for an instructor and one for a pilot in training. Black paint on the plane’s nose kept reflected sunlight from blinding the pilots. I bet Cheri knows about this stuff, I had to look it up 1810 days ago
Wow Victoria-what a great event, for a great cause! And to be with your sisters too!!! If that was the beginning of the walk-that sure was crowded-but I see it thinned out from your photos later. Really cool how everyone enjoys it and so touching the ones walking for the ones who lost their battle to that awful breast cancer! Good for you and your sisters! Thanks for sharing with us! 1810 days ago
That was exciting to see! How lucky that you were able to be there. I saw the plane at the beginning... were you at an airport, or was that for the celebrities? Thanks for taking pictures so we could share it with you! 1810 days ago
That is so wonderful! So glad you were able to participate!! On behalf of the people I have known who have died from cancer, who are fighting it and who survived it (my mother), I thank you for fundraising for cancer. I am sad that I will miss our Relay For Life 24 hr walk :(( I really enjoyed going with the Curves group last year, but this time I will be in Penticton BC for a bridge tournament. Have a Super Sunday! 1811 days ago
