I see where I need help. I am impatient, impulsive, and stop caring when life gets tough.
It is a virtue to stick to your plans, even when things get tough. Life is not fair, and there will never be a perfect time to start.
Now is the perfect time to start. Even if you just ate a donut!
I am determined to exercise my 'NO' muscle in my head. I will tell myself this, more often than not.
I am DONE telling myself, 'I don't care', 'I'll never lose weight', 'I'll start Monday' or whatever excuse comes in my head. When did these thoughts EVER work in the past??
Every bite matters. That is why tracking is SO important. It shows YOU where YOU are. It is not for anyone else, no one is going to grade you, so be honest with yourself for once and take some responsibility. Once you determine your habits, you can start making real changes.
I woke up at 1:30 am, hungry. I prayed. I got my study book, my Diet Belk book, and my journal. I wrote what I was feeling. I studied. Then I read some of the Belk Diet book.
Then I went to sleep.
I woke up with a determination to make some small, permanent changes.
I am working on these goals, putting things in order, reminding myself of what my goals are, why I am doing this, and what I need to do (yes, this WILL take effort on MY part, get your butt in gear!) I put a photo on my phone that shows me sitting, and to remind me of what I want to change...
I now have my bike. It's the most beautiful bike I ever saw, pink, gorgeous. I am on my way, step by step...
