Not what I planned, but a good day anyway.

Woke up this morning at 10:00 AM like I hadn't slept at all, too hot and immediately discouraged because it was too late to hike. I might have gone anyway if Mom wasn't here, but taking two hours + would have been too much out of our day together. So I moped a bit and then I just did it...put my I-pod on, grabbed some weights and did what I call House Dancing. Moving to the music, running up and down the stairs, swinging my arms, kicking my legs, and holding the weights over my head for a total of 23 minutes. Surprisingly I did get into Zone 3 for all of 3 minutes; overall I was happy with 71 % of capacity. Of course my loud singing when I wasn't out of breath to my cowboy tunes was entertaining to no one.
Got into the pool, chilly at first, (I had to scream more than once) but then felt good as my body adjusted. Used my webbed gloves, kicked hard and pushed a lot of water around for 19 minutes.
So what could have ended as a day with no exercise didn't happen and I feel good about it all.
