5/11/2012: Day 76

Friday, May 11, 2012

Yesterday wasn't as stressful at work. My manager had someone bring in tamales. I had one and added the calories to my nutrition tracker based on an estimate. I was given a little bit of a hard time about that. I've noticed that at work I've been mocked about calorie counting. I'm not exactly sure why that is. Most people are quite supportive.

I'm choosing to take this as a good thing. Perhaps some are jealous of my determination. I haven't given up and I've already made a lot of changes in my life. I don't look the same as I did a few years ago and that seems to really bother some people. I find that to be amazing.

I drove in yesterday and I was completely surprised about how some people drive like they've never been behind the wheel before. I had several near misses with accidents. It was such a shame. I was pretty frazzled when I got to work. Going home it wasn't quite as bad. I found that people were a little more relaxed on the drive home from work than to work.

I got home and fixed a yummy healthy dinner. I got my clothes ready for today and watched some basketball. My heart was broken by my Bulls. I was pleased by the Celtics win and didn't stay up late enough to see the Lakers lose to the Nuggets. I am a sports fan and generally look for a game to watch when I get home.

I had my jeans out to iron them and completely forgot about that. I did that this morning. I went to bed a little later than usual. I was up skyping with my boyfriend and lost track of the time a little bit.

I didn't get up early to work out this morning. It's supposed to be in the 70s today so I will be walking before work, during lunch, and after work. I'm excited about that. I love to walk. I find it so relaxing and fun to me.

Today is Friday and it's going to be a good day. I'm determined to make it one. Weekend here I come!

I've had the same experience as you've had with respect to people being less than supportive of a healthy lifestyle. As long as you're doing your thing, that's all that matters.
