Food For All

This week has been a bit challenging in the food department because our Fridge went out earlier this week. It died slowly each day we rushed to eat items before they went bad. Today we gave the old fridge it's burial and a new fridge came to take it's place.
Everything my husband and I had in the fridge has been thrown out. Which is both a good and bad thing.
Good because now we can fill it with healthy foods and have a fridge makeover.
Bad because we lost some specialty items from America we have to purchase at special store.
This week I went over my calorie count twice. I'm a bit peeved about it, but at the same time I know this fridge situation was not something I could help. Both days I went over were because there was a lack of food available in our fridge for dinner and Hubby and I opted to go out rather than purchase a meal and have it potentially spoil in a couple of hours.
I'm worried that the 2.5 pound loss I made last week will be lost by going over this week. I know we all have good days and bad days, ups and downs. I just hope I can keep up the workouts to push forward with the weight loss.
Tonight I'm working on our Weekly menu. (We usually do our grocery shopping on Saturday afternoon.) I'm hoping to find some new recipies to add to our menu. We usually eat at home 6 nights a week. Thankfully my Hubby enjoys eating healthy because he is an avid runner.
I know this weekend is going to be challenging. We have a birthday party dinner to attend tomorrow night. Also I have homemade peppermint extract and Vanilla extract, both are ready to used. Which means baking!!! (My favorite thing) It took over a month for these extracts to infuse and I'm very anxious to test them out.
Hoping to get through the weekend with minimal damage to my waistline.
