I MUST GIVE UP ICE CREAM

Friday, May 11, 2012

I have been obsessed with Ice cream this last two weeks that it has gotten hotter in Sacramento. So I have been eating a little,,, But between Tuesday and Wednesday I ate a half gallon... this is not helpful. I gained 5 pounds in two days!
If I do not get it off by Monday I will have to change my ticker up again.
This is not acceptable.
I am not getting enough sleep at night and nap in the day instead of getting things done.
I will post every day for the weekend to let you know what is happening.

I love ice cream so much! Whenever someone would ask my favorite food, I'd always reply, "ice cream!!"

Maybe this will help you, but I've been hunting good substitutions so that I don't have to give up a sweet cold treat, especially now that summer is coming!

My favorite are the Skinny Cow 98% fat free fudge bars. They are only 100 cal each, and they don't taste like diet at all! When I track my food, I make sure to leave 100 cal for the evening so I can have my fudge bar :) I also go for those frozen fruit bars. I think it's Dannon that makes them.. My local grocery story also makes their own generic brand. It's not just a flavored popcicle.. it has chunks of frozen fruit in it. They're really sweet and nice.

Yasso has a greek frozen yogurt bar out now too. The flavors available are strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry. They're fruity and tart, but I thought the texture was a little crumbly and not as creamy as I thought it ought to be.

There are a lot of sno cone stands in the area, too. Now that it's getting hot out, I'll probably be hitting up the stands this summer. My favorite place offers a handful of sugar free flavors, too!

The challenge, of course, is to be happy with just one... But I found these new dessert tools help me out a lot. I hope you find something that works for you! Ice cream is my downfall too.
