That Stunk

Friday, May 11, 2012

After a great morning run where i was able to get a nice distance in, i came home to get ready for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, i received some disappointing news this morning regarding our search for my birth mother. it seems that due to federal laws at the time, the records were destroyed. also, the info that i have received regarding her identity and my heritage is all a myth.

it seems that the name she gave was not her real name (which was a common practice in that day). needless to say, i am frustrated and disheartened by this search, and have a new distaste for our legal system as it relates to family law.

it looks like all this will forever remain a mystery.

Great title! -- Sorry for the grief this undoubtedly causes throughout your lifetime. I suppose that means that the parents would also not be able to follow the paper trail to learn where her child was placed.

Fortunate for us, we know we have a God who makes no mistakes in the way we are conceived. May this assurance we have -- within our measure of faithfulness -- be our best aid during those times when we need a little extra comfort and strength when we do not have the luxury of knowing the history of our birth parents.

Believe me I totally understand what you're going thru. Both me and my brother were adopted. But thru a set of circumstances we have both come in contact with our biological families. As for me I never met my biological mother. She passed away before I met them. It was nice to connect but I honestly haven't heard from them since. I am fortunate to have had great parents and I am who they helped make me. Not because of who birthed me but who raised and cared about me. You have a beautiful family and have accomplished your weight loss goal. Look forward and have a great journey.
