i have managed to find a few things on the market with hfcs but not much. just about everything has aspartame or corn syrup. to much is to much. if you know of any food product that is hfcs free please list it here. i found 1 hunts ketchup, for a big bottle it is about 3.57 and it taste like the old kind we had years ago. and which would you drink pepsi or coke with aspartame, or splenda?

Aspartame or Splenda? If you're cooking, then Splenda is the sweetener to use since Aspartame breaks down in high temps. In some recipes, Splenda doesn't work since it reacts strangely with some of the other ingredients. As for soft drinks, we shouldn't drink them anyway! I don't like the strange taste that either of the sweeteners give any of the soft drinks that I have tried, so I avoid drinking them as much as possible.

I don't want to sound like a party pooper, but HFCS may have been given a bad rap. Check out the article, "The Truth about High Fructose Corn Syrup" here on SparkPeople. As more research into the obesity outbreak in the US is done, more and more experts (including the dietitians here) are realizing that HFCS is just like all forms of sugar (or any food)--too much will causes health problems.

Splenda is supposed to be the least offensive of the sweeteners., but the jury is still out. Stevia is really the best--most healthful--if you don't mind the taste!

When you start to read labels it gets almost scary. Ingredients that can not even be pronounced. Sorry I can't help with the hfcs as I'm not sure what you are looking for. I don't eat anything with hfcs in it, but then again I am on a restrictive diet thanks to doc. Once met a doc who told me that hfcs will be the death of us all. Perhaps a bit dramatic.

Neither aspartame or splenda have a good reputation. My vote is to drink the one that tastes best to you.
