Week 23: Day 5

Friday, May 11, 2012

So I fiddled around the Fitness Tracker again yesterday, trying something different. I don't think I succeeded in what I was trying to do. LOL! Something I want to do in its setup is get credit for the things I do daily but not get credit for things I DON'T do daily. I'd like to get those daily Spark Points to reflect my genuine activities. I'll keep trying! emoticon

No rain, but it's still nice here. I think I need to move to a cooler climate! I had a good friend in Buffalo, NY and summer visits were always awesome with the daily highs--a heat wave--at 82 degrees. I wish!

I slept late this morning! Now, that was yummy! I never do this and it's nice to feel more rested. emoticon

Someone who hadn't seen me for 3 months came by yesterday and was astounded at the change in my appearance. I had mixed feelings, of course, because it implies how awful I must have looked to her before. No, I don't think I'm being sensitive. emoticon Some folks are just more judgmental than others and don't hesitate to spread their, um, joy. emoticon

Happy Friday, everyone! Love and success to us all! emoticon emoticon

That kind of compliment is always tough, but most people don't mean it as a belated insult to how we looked before - they genuinely mean we look better now. If you looked fine before, you look finer now - and looking finer doesn't mean you suddenly were judged as looking awful before. (And for our peace of mind, we can just pretend that's how even the nasty ones meant it!)

The way I've got mine set up, for strength training I only get credit (SparkPoints) if I check off items. If I don't do half of my workout, I don't get credit for the ones I don't check. For Cardio, I only get credit for minutes I enter. Of course, I don't particularly worry about the SparkPonts from it - I track it so I know how I'm doing compared to my plans.

When my hot flashes were really bad, I was dying to move to Canada or some place north. Now that they are under control (thank you Metfomin), I really don't mind the weather as much. But it has been mild in Central Texas/Austin lately.

Have a good weekend!

It's pretty nice here in Pittsburgh :)
We're actually planning on moving to Arizona in about 8 years, when the two older children are done with school.

I know what you mean about the comments regarding weight loss. It's kind of double sided, huh?

Hope you have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Beth
