S90 Day 33 - Tabata Inferno

Yesterday I dragged myself out of bed for my workout. I knew what was coming... and I was NOT excited.

I drank my water, popped in the DVD and got started. Toward the end of the 2nd set of exercises I was really impressed with myself. I was still going strong - my HRM wasn't beeping at me - I was actually feeling GOOD! I wondered why I had found Tabata so difficult before.

A couple sets later I remembered as sweat poured off, my breathing got heavier, and my muscles groaned in protest. Yep, a workout I love to hate. Oh so effective! But, oh, so tough!

After taking a couple weeks off from Tabata and coming back to it I was definitely impressed with the number of reps I was now able to do of most of the exercises in a mere 20 seconds. And as I did today's new workout - Chest/Shoulders/Tris - I was surprised to feel the muscles definition on my arms as I worked the triceps. I am definitely making some BIG progress.

    Congrats on making progresss!!!!!!!!!!!! loving to hate a work out is the best thing in my mind! LOL it pushes you! and your totally pushing past it! YAY for waking up and making your self do it!!!

    emoticon on your progress! I'm supposed to do Tabata today but woke up with severe lower back pain so am going to do it tomorrow. Today I will just do some walking in the neighborhood to loosen up my back. emoticon job on Tabata! It's by far the toughest cardio workout so you are emoticon !
