I've just been to a short visit to Prague. For me, it's just a 5 hour Bus Drive away... It was lovely. I was lucky, the weather was perfect (I got a sunburn) and the city is really great. There's so much to see. I imagined it to be a spooky, mysterious Place with little medieval houses in tiny twisted alleys, but actualyy, there's grand houses, Theatres and palaces, some huge gothic cathedrals and lively places. It reminded me a little bit of Paris, but maybe a little greener, more diversified in architecture and, if you can escape the avalanche of tourists, calmer and more relaxing. The Moldau runs calmly through the city, spanned by a couple of lovely bridges, epecially the mystic and grand Charles Bridge with its's 30 statues.
I can recommend it and would gladly go there again some day.
But, on the other hand, I gained another pound. I didn't count calories those four days, that wouldn't have been possible, for the czech don't really have any nutritional values on their food, and I didn't have any internet anyway, but I tried to stick to chicken and only eat when I was hungry. In the first two days. Then I just ate
I don't regret it. The czech have very hearty food, similar to bavarian. So I felt very much at home. They also have great beer.
But now, I need to get back on track... I still weigh 97 kg. And I finally want to take my -5kg picture...
