A little better?

Thursday, May 10, 2012

Yesterday was a bad day. My husband came over to pick up the last of his stuff and to get the cats. Tension was high. I ate horrible food all day long. Today was a new day. I didn't get up as early as I liked, but oh well. I have been very frustrated with work, but didn't take it out on my body today by eating bad food. I had a great salad for lunch and tried the Flat Out pizza recipe on here for dinner (very tasty). I did snack on some Triscuits, but they are my weakness. I figure I could have worse weaknesses right? Still have some housecleaning to do and it's getting late which is stressing me out a bit. I am excited because tomorrow, I will have furniture in my living room and office again! That, I think, will make me feel a little more human. emoticon

Thanks! And thanks for pointers Renee. I have to find rewards that are not food-based. My past has always been "I'll treat myself to this choco cake or french fries or whatever", but nice lotions, candles, or maybe a new book might make for good substitutions for rewards when I need one.

I agree with SLJWATTS. One day at a time. It helps me to replace the food I use to comfort myself with. Now I aim for special treats like scented lotions or lighting some nice candles to help after a bad day.
