Apparently I am definitely making gains in the whole weight loss/fitness department. My spin class was canceled today and instead of sitting around doing nothing (like the old me would have done), I plugged in my iPhone and off I went for a 6k walk! It feels great (minus the blisters) to be out in the fresh air walking for a good length of time, keeping up my pace, and getting in my cardio workout. I'm not an aimless walker, but need a destination to get to. I mapped out my route on mapmywalk.com and then started my Endomondo app to calculate my distance and lap time, etc.
The old me would have seen the canceled spin class.... wait, the old me never would have gone to spin class, but if she had.... she would have seen the canceled class as a sign to NOT doing anything. The new me decided it would be in our best interest to get out there and walk.
