Last night's stationary bike workout was tough. My legs were pretty sore and tired this morning. My upper abs are sore from yesterday's ab workout too. I never thought I would say this, but I was looking forward to this morning's workout just to help get rid of the soreness. So odd that I would feel that way. lol
So far I'm still feeling good about my dietary changes. I'm no longer eating past 9 PM and I'm no longer wanting to either. My sugar cravings seem to be gone now. I never thought those would go. When I quit smoking cold turkey in 2005, I exchanged my nicotine addiction for sugar. After 4 years of not smoking, I was stupid and started again. I smoked from April 2009 until December 2010 and had no desire for sugary foods in that time. When I quit again (yay!) I found myself going right back to the junk food. Each time I tried to change my diet I ended up going right back to my bad habits. The only thing that's different now is that I've added daily workouts. Could that be the difference? Is it possible that I may be exchanging my sugar cravings for exercise? It's too soon to tell, but I REALLY hope so! At least I'd be addicted to a healthy habit this time.
In other good news, I forgot to use my inhaler last night before my bike workout and this morning before my JMBR workout, and it looks like I may not need it before exercising anymore.
We'll see how next week goes when I move on to workouts 3 and 4.
