I Had Some Oops and Downs!

Just thought I'd share this- over last weekend my husband and I had a couple of events to attend- all included eating and drinking, of course! I was determined NOT to go overboard, but to have a "socially" good time. That meant enjoying the good company of the other guests and being well behaved as far as eating and drinking. I ate a healthy little snack before we left, so I wouldn't indulge.
Well so much for my intentions; I had two glasses of wine and way too many appetizers at one event and a similar situation at the second party. Seems my resolve disappeared. Oops!
On Sunday I felt terribly guilty, did a lot of exercise but refused to look at the scale! Until this morning, that is... Of course it's now Thursday, but after getting back on track this week, I found myself smiling after my weigh in... I'd lost another 1.5lbs!
So although we have these oops moments/days it is possible to get stronger and more focused because of them, resulting in that number on the scale going DOWN. emoticon

    Good job at not letting it get you down! We all have those. The point is to learn from them and not repeat them as often.

Instead of the drink or two you could have a diet soda or a glass of water with lemon. Not only will it decrease your calorie intake it will also not melt away your resolve so easily as the alcohol will.

Congrats on the loss and the over all good eating!
