Sometimes it is as simple as a hot soak in the tub, or your favorite reading material, or remembering to take a few deep breaths and exhaling slowly at times of stress. We need to remember that it is GOOD to be alive and that we are worth spending effort on ourselves. I think that perhaps one reason we get so fat and unhealthy is that we don't allow ourselves time for enough appropriate ENJOYMENT and so we simply grab what is in front of us (the short term unhealthy pleasure) because it is easy, and forgo pursuing our dreams, goals, and healthier pursuits. We've given up so much for so long, that we have forgotten how to relax, enjoy, and spend time and energy on ourselves for our OWN good. Ya gotta start somewhere. So even those deep breaths count when taken consciously for your own good.

    Believe it or not, two hours gardening was a real treat!

    I've rested as I felt a bit worn out after our vacation and my foot is swollen - don't know why - maybe the flight. Hope you did something good for you today too!
