For our BLC19 challenge we are to post a blog about the future me and how we would maintain our weight once we reached our goal. There is my plan..
I finally reached my goal weight of 155-160! I fit comfortably in a size 8 and my self esteem has never been higher! I am a mom to 5 kids and a farmers wife. I am content with the simple things in life!
To maintain my weight, I would be staying in a calorie range of 1200-1500 everyday but I would still allow myself a treat every now and then. I would focus my meals on lean protein, whole grains and freggies. I would continue to get at least 8 glasses of water in everyday but make it a goal to get 10. I would also be maintaining my abstience from pop.
I would continue my routine of exercising 6 days a week for at least 30 minutes everyday. I would make sure to include 3 days of strength training and 3 days of cardio. I wouldnt subject myself to any set program. Just go with the flow and do whatever I was in the mood for that day.
I would make it a point to start each morning with a positive thought. To make sure that each day I remembered my blessings. Looked back on how far I had come and never to forget where I have been. I don't ever want to go back there.
"What can I do TODAY that will help me to create or enhance the healthy habits the "future me" will need to have?"
Today I can start by making better food choices. I won't be perfect everyday but I will NOT give up! To make sure that I get a workout in at least 6 days every week unless I am under the weather...BUT to forgive myself for the days that I don't. To start my mornings NOW off on a positive note to improve the outlook of my journey.
It's not about how long it takes you to get there...its about the journey.
