They found the deed?

Wednesday, May 09, 2012

Sometimes getting where I'm going in life takes a little longer than usual! We put a down-payment on a home down in December... the 21st to be exact. There was an expected close date of January 21st, but the deed could not be found. I'd heard those stories on the news and sort of snort giggled when I heard such nonsense! Well, snort no more! Five months later the missing deed has been located! Hallelujah!

What all has happened that would have made a major move difficult? Well to begin with, major health issues with my most precious and beloved mom. She fell 3 days after Christmas and majorly broke her right ankle. Daily trips to the hospital and then nursing rehab ended February 25 with a major stroke and her death 3 days later. I sat with her for all those days and when the morphine no longer worked I sang a praise and worship song to her, over and over again for hours. For those of you who know it... Step by Step ("I will follow You all of the way") was my reworded version. She actually would raise her arms upward in praise and try to sing along. Treasured memory.

Next came a 2 month battle with the sinus infection from (well you know) and then an infected tooth just followed last week by a root canal then a new crown today on another tooth. I'm working to get all this health stuff out of the way for the big move.

Anyway. I'm no longer snorting at the news... and I realize now that the snorting sound I was making was just due to the sinus infection and swollen sore tooth. LOL.

God's timing has always astounded me. He is looking out for me long before I even know I need looking out for. Smile. ...and for that I am ever so thankful!

So sorry to hear about your mother. It sounds like you were a blessing to her during her struggle. I'm glad you have good memories with her and that you were there for her when she needed you the most.
What a blessing also to not have to move during all your trials...God had His hand in it all and watched over you while you were going through.
Happy to know that you are "snorting no more" and that the deed is found and you can now move into another phase of life. Praying for joy and God's blessing to be upon you as you move into your new home.
Hugs,
Sarah

So glad to hear from you! Have wondered how you are. I am very sorry to hear about your mother and know she is now at peace. It is very hard to watch our parents go through things we have no control over. Although God was watching over you, suspect his angels had a hand in it too. Guess you are downsizing? Moving close to where you were?

Please know I have thought about you and hope things go as planned now that the DEED has been found.

Yep, His plan is ALWAYS better than ours. My prayers are with you. Are you moving from the Condo, or is the found deed for investment property? Keep me posted!

Blessings!

    Indeed, all in God's time......

My folks were quickly deteriorating last year. Mom fell in July, breaking her hip in 2 places and after surgery was placed in a nursing home. Dad fell in August and was soon sharing a room with mom. And how quickly life changed - Nov 5th mom died and dad followed her just 18 days later.

As we age, changes happen sometimes too quickly. I've know for a couple years that I will NEED to move. But never knew how I was going to accomplish it without selling what I had.

Then we started going through my folks estate and with the many insurance policies that my dad had ~ my prayer was answered! Now to find one that will fit my needs.

Wow, what a relief the deed was found. It does seem strange it took so long to find it!

Your mother's health and then dying plus your own health issues certainly didn't make the time pass any more quickly!

Praise God for His timing and love!
