Appointment left me unsure about my weight

Wednesday, May 09, 2012

A few months back, I was on Dr Oz website were he was giving away for testing on cholesterol, glucose and weight. So I manage to win one. My appointment was yesterday. I was glad I did it. I fasted 8 hours before, weighted myself 147.8 not bad. I get there they take my blood pressure which is high of course, then they take my blood for the different test. Then send me to another person who did my waist, height and weight. I get on the scale for her to weigh me it says i weigh 141.2. Wow that is a big difference. I got on again to be sure of course it said i weigh 141.2. Most people be jumping up for joy not me. At least my test results were good except my hdl which was low. That is something I can take care of with the Doctor. The weight bothered me the most. So I get home weigh myself it says 147.6. No way I lost that amount of weight. So I am sticking to my scale. I could be wrong and buy a new one. I will stick to my scale.

Every scale is different. I think the important thing is to stick to the one you use all the time. So you know that on this scale you have lost weight. I went to the doctor recently and his scale is always shows more weight than mine. But I know on my scale I have lost 11 pounds and that is what I keep in mind.

it sometimes depends on the scale..sometimes digital scales are not as accurate as the ol stand by ones, my doc offic scale was lower than mine as well, although this is exciting im like u i stick to what mine says..recently i was watching a past episode of "ruby" and there was episode where her scale told her she had lost 20 lbs, but when she went to see the nutrtionist ..her scale said she had gained 20 lbs..ruby of course got so annoyed that she beat her scale until it blew into little pieces, although this i DONT recommend, it could just be the type of scale u have.
