Meet my nephew!! :)

Wednesday, May 09, 2012

Alright, time to gush.

My nephew finally graced us with his presence on Sunday at 10:16 am.
He weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 oz 19 inches long!
SUCH an adorable boy.

And just *so* cuddly.

He was the first grandchild on our side, the second on my brother-in-law's side and my very first nephew (or niece, for that matter!)

meet Maximus.

I got to be in the room during the birth and it was just insane.
Seriously, I can't even describe it.

I cried like a baby when he finally came out.
Then again when I got to hold him.
And the entire 2.5 hour drive home when I had to leave.

Thankfully I see my sis about every other week so I won't miss out on much.
Plus I told her that there just isn't such a thing as too many pictures that she can send me.

So that's that.

Don't worry, I will be posting tons more pictures of him.
Yeah, I'm going to be *that* aunt. :)

Congrats! He is a cutie pie! My first nephew just had his first baby last fall. . . so now I have a great-nephew that I brag about and adore!

Heading over to Lawrence this weekend for my son's graduation from KU! Can't believe it's been four years already. (yes, he changed majors and still made it out in 4 years - with a 3.4 GPA - and a job!) And my daughter is heading off to KU in the fall. Rock Chalk!!

    Enjoy that nephy-man!

Oh, and also - I literally had to lie down in the middle of the actual birth part because I thought I was going to pass out.. so I'm happy to hear there's others out there who were so upset over the pain that you're sister is going through!!

so sweet! Love his name! I was in the room when my sister gave birth (at home, in a tub) and find it so hard to describe too! Enjoy watching all of the little milestones that this little guy will meet!

    Awww, Mal! emoticon

What a cutie! And for the record, I think I would have the same "OMG, you look like you're DYING" tears if I witnessed a birth as well. I don't have kids either, and I never will for SURE if I watch the birthing process! emoticon

I was the same way, I was shaking because I was so scared at how much pain she was in!! She was amazing, though. She didn't complain at all! I'm, you're giving birth, you can COMPLAIN! :)

Aw, he's pretty adorable! Not as adorable as MY nephews of course. emoticon

When my first nephew was born, I cried like a baby as well. Not really with joy, but with sympathy for my poor sister. I couldn't stand her being in so much pain! I just kept wishing there was something I could do to take some of the pain away and help her. But, she's a trooper and she made it through and then I got to cry with JOY once Owen was all checked out and healthy and we got to hold him and kiss him. I especially cried seeing my dad get to hold his first grandchild. My dad was BORN to be grandpa, but myself and my siblings weren't cooperating. My dad has two sons and two daughters and only the youngest (my younger sister) decided to have kids.
