The More Things Change...

Wednesday, May 09, 2012

Got the results on my 5K run:

Nettime Guntime Pace Div/Tot Sex/Tot Div
34:22 34:54 11:14 34/43 265/327 538 out of 784

Last year I found a number which was called the "Overall Finish Time" of 35:03

So I'm not sure whether "Nettime" or "Guntime" is the right time to compare this to but it looks like I managed to shave a few seconds off the total.

It strikes me as funny & odd how within ALL the variables that can transpire during the course of a year somehow my 5K time remains so consistent.

Go figure! :-)

No complaints...very pleased with my 5K!

Now: back to the bike and racking up some miles! I'm up over 400 miles so far this year, but really haven't been consistently getting on my bike as much as I'd like to due to weather, late-night work, etc. Hoping things will "open up" soon!

Nice race! Wish I had 400 miles on my bike this year. Plan to see big jumps in mileage now that I'm not training for any races.

Good work on both the biking and the running fronts!

FYI, today Bike to Work day, and it is the first anniversary of when I started biking to work. I'm so glad I started!

400 miles! Don, WTG!! I've never heard of gun time, nettime, just finish time. That's a great overall time for a 5K. Great job Don! I hope your schedule opens up for more miles on the road.

WOO HOO! I can't wait to do my first 5K and get my results. I think most runners concern themselves with the pace time. I am on a couple lists and thats what they always post. Maybe compare your pace time from last year.
Have a great bike ride!! And a great day
