Are you the Hare or the Tortoise

Wednesday, May 09, 2012

We are no longer a go with the flow society. We want everything NOW!!! We have drive ins for everything from food, to picking up your medicine, to heck getting married. I know we have all heard that you didnt put the weight on overnight and you arent going to lose it overnight, but dang...I want to see the old me now....I think I have finally got it into my head, its not the final destination as much as the journey. Last November I started a journal and I will finish it up this week and already bought a new one. I have set some small goals that will get me to the main goal but 1.21 a week looks alot better than 42 lbs. so from now on...im all about being the tortoise with a slow and steady ride so i can check out the scenery on the way emoticon

I want to be the tortoise! The hare kept stopping and napping and not making progress, and then he LOST! I want to keep going, keep making progress, even if it is slow so I can finish losing all the weight!! Good thoughts, thanks for sharing!!!

I seem to be the tortoise given the slow pace of my weight loss... but there is definitely nothing wrong with that! Like you said, it is going to take just a long to lose the weight as it took to gain the weight. Nothing that is worthwhile comes easy!
