It's working, it's working....

Tuesday, May 08, 2012

Whenever I give up a food I really want or am doing an exercise I don't care for, or catch a glimpse in the mirror and can't see a difference, I just keep saying, "it's working, it's working, it's working." My sweet dh says to me, "yes, it is working and I see it. I'm very proud of you." He's so awesome. emoticon
I have lost 7 pounds since re-starting on April 12. Now, I didn't think 7 pounds was anything to get overly excited about. (I was excited, I'm just anxious to get back to where I was before regaining the 20 pounds) Well, the first time I did SP and lost the weight, I mostly was just tracking calories. I was doing some exercise, but not daily like now. I never figured out how I lost 35 pounds and was wearing smaller tops, but the same size bottoms. emoticon This time I had my dh measure me before I started. Three weeks later I had dh take new measurements of me emoticon I have lost 1 inch in the widest part of my hip/stomach and 1 inch off my arms, 1/4 inch off the bust and gained a little in my leg. Now, that may not seem like a lot, but on Sunday I was able to wear a size that I haven't seen in YEARS! Now, I know some clothing manufacturers make larger clothes w/smaller sized labels....BUT no matter what brand I tried before (the 35 pounds lost) I NEVER fit in that size in any brand! I was so excited!! emoticon I am really trying hard to be more positive and.....It's working, it's working, it's working!!
emoticon I hope everyone else is doing well. emoticon Just believe and be positive.

That is such an awesome feeling when you can wear clothes in sizes that used to not fit. For me, I have to really celebrate those moments. It helps me stay focused. It helps me remember, "IT'S WORKING" It is definitely difficult when you lose then gain and are losing again. frustrating to say the least but I have to be positive too and stop beating myself up. You are doing a great job and sounds like you have a very supportive family. That is awesome!
