I am on my 4th week of running the Couch to 5K program. I am only on week 2 of the program, because I repeated week 1 and am currently repeating week 2. The reason for repeating would be the fact that there are 2 hills on the route my DH and I have mapped out. These hills are quite a challenge and I did the best I have ever done with them last night, May 7, 2012! I wanted to share a couple of pictures of these hills with you all.
Here they are:
This is the bottom of hill # 1 looking up.
The top of hill # 1 (looking up) is at the stop sign in the distance. The total hill is around 100-125 yards long.
Looking back down hill # 1 from the stop sign!
Looking down the rest of hill # 1. This is from the corner of the building in the previous picture (about halfway back down).
Looking up hill # 2.
Looking down hill # 2.
Thankfully, when we run one direction it is uphill on one and downhill on the other. After we complete one lap (one mile) going one direction we turn around and go back the opposite way we came, so it's up the opposite hill and down the one we started with! It's insanely hard to make it up them! I know they don't look all that bad, but, believe me, they are tough!
