A week and a half so far...

I joined SparkPeople a week and a half ago and love it! I have tried to stick to eating healthier, and exercise classes, but nothing stuck. I would eat out way too much! My friend from work, (my lunch buddy), mentioned she had to eat better to lower her cholesterol. For some reason, this was the push I needed. So instead of her and I eating out all the time and making poor choices, she could now be my "diet" buddy. And so far, it's worked out great! We motivate each other and keep each other in line.

Also, with joining SparkPeople, and beginning to track my nutrition, wow! It's amazing what a simple sandwich at a restaurant can end up being! U realize where your calories come from for sure!!! And with tracking, I love the fact that you know what you have to work with by suppertime. That keeps me from stopping to grab something on the way home. I just tell myself - you only have 400 calories for supper and 100 for snack. Watch yourself. Just go home and make something healthy!

So I am super motivated, happy, and have lost 3 pounds so far! And I plan to keep on track and keep losing til I reach my goal! (0:
