Marigolds and Geraniums

Tuesday, May 08, 2012

I feel as though I have accomplished quite a bit today. Took a while to get the engine going but almost all of the things on my to do list were done. Still tuckers me out and I have to take lots of breaks, Hopefully when I see the dr next week I will have more answers about different issues.
Planted marigolds and geraniums in pots today out by the swing. Took the weed eater out and cleared the weeds from the circular bed out front. That had been around the tree. When the tree went down last spring is when we were first dealing with Jeff's diagnosis and I never got around to planning anything to take the place of the tree. This spring I haven't been able to get much done until today. It is weeded, 6 day lilies planted and two red peonies. I had picked up the day lilies and peonies for half price.
Had to dig up a couple of hostas as there is now too much sun for them to flourish. Will get them replanted tomorrow.
I have to get up and get busy again as Jeff has just finished eating and I want to get the dishes done and then stretch out to ease my back. Also have a book I want to continue reading.
My cousin, Ann will be back from Kansas tomorrow. It won't b early when she gets home, but it will be good to have her back.
Just four more days and the privacy fence on the south side of the yard will be finished. I have already talked with Michael and the posts for the fence to the east of the yard will be going in within the first two weeks of June. I only allot myself so much in the budget a month for things for the yard and The posts will have to sit until the first of July before I can start putting up the 2by 4 and the first of August before the dog eared slats start going up. That should not wear me out too much by taking it so slow. Hopefully I will have that back section finished before the end of September. I may start thinking about doing the north side for next summers big project. Will have to wait and see how this works out this year and where my budget stands next year.
That is it for today, I hear the dishes shouting at me to get done and I don't want them to bother the neighbors so I had better get them taken care of
God bless you and thank you for being in my life
