No butter

Started cooking without adding butter for flavor, to almost every dish. Just seasoned with fresh herbs. Surprisingly, I did not miss it nor did my family.

    Awesome NSV! you can also just add sml amts now & then as we still do need fats in our "diets" you know? :) Oils, like olive, canola, sesame seed, etc are good for yr heart as well

    that's great even though butter isn't my downfall.i don't add it to my foods.My downfall is sugar

    Hooray! I've noticed that as I have cut out butter and greasy foods in general out of my diet, when I eat them now they taste nasty and leave a bad aftertaste. Same thing with junky American chocolates. Good for you for eating clean!

    I use sprays (there is a butter flavor which is good) and olive oil. saves a lot of calories and is healthier

    Good for you! Sometimes I miss it and allow myself some -- but it has to be totally worth it, like on top of really good bread. Also, congratulations on your first blog post - I hope you enjoy the camaraderie. SparkPeople are so supportive - for example, thank YOU for sending positive energy my way on my interview yesterday!
