Chinese farmers use formaldehyde on cabbages as preservative.

I dont know if these cabbages make their way into the US market or are just for domestic consumption, but personally, I'm going to look a bit more suspiciously at imported produce in the future...

    Formaldehyde has been used as a preservative in many places. Local is definitely better.
