I posted this as a comment on someone's page and thought it'd be interesting to hear some of you opinions.... Please comment!

YOU CAN DO IT!
I've been "dieting" for 2-3 weeks now with a goal to loose 20-25 lbs by June 9th. I am officially down 10lbs!
I've found the best way is to be aware of your food choices and do you homework! Take a few extra minutes to compare the nutritional info. It may say "fat free" but be loaded with sugars, sodium or carbs. It's not always a clear choice or an easy one...
EXAMPLE: Strawberry Nutrigrain vs Oatmeal Cinnamon All-Bran Bar
120 Cal, 3g fat, 125mg sodium, 24g carbs (11g sugar + 3g fiber), 2g protein, O mg cholesterol
130 Cal, 5g fat, 105mg sodium, 21g carbs (9g sugar, 4g fiber + 8g starch), 2g protein, 5mg cholesterol
Which is the "better" choice? Not that easy is it? LOL
Personally I would choose the Nutrigrain Bar over the All-Bran.
Why? You ask...
BECAUSE: The first ingredient listed on the Nutrigrain Bar is "WHOLE GRAIN OATS" the first ingredient on the All-Bran bar is "WHEAT FLOUR"
With time this gets easier! YOU CAN DO IT!
