Started walking 45 minutes per day plus did weight training every day for 40 minutes. In less than one month I lost six pounds of fat and put on seven pounds of muscle. With results like that you'd think I'd stick with it. :( Unfortunately I did not and so now I have to start over again.
Luckily, my weight has stayed the same over this time of not exercising every day. I have my exceptionally clean diet to thank for that. "They" say that weight loss is 70% diet and 30% exercise and that has certainly proven true for me. I've started drinking green juice every day in my Vitamix. My basic recipe is:
1 scoop Greens+ detox, 1/3 peeled English cucumber, 1/2 green apple, 1/3 lemon juiced, 1/2 bunch or 1 cup parsley, 1 tsp. chopped fresh ginger, 1 cup ice, 1 cup water. It tastes terrific and I feel better when I drink it, more clear headed.
I also try to drink 1-2 liters of water per day. I've started eating raw kale every day usually in the form of salads, either www.nourishingmeals.com/
. Both are terrific.
It's spring where I live, we're getting a lot of rain. Lots of excuses for not getting out with the dog, lots of excuses for watching a movie instead of weight training in my living room. Somehow I have to find my mojo again, so I can feel better and look better.
