For me, swimming would be a comfort exercise. I'm not a good swimmer, so I use a floatation belt, and it makes me feel graceful and secure.

I know what you mean, Vista. It's interesting reading all the different reactions after this article.
After serious consideration, I think I can say there is one activity that I now do that provides comfort...my nordic walking. People are talking to me, perfect strangers, asking me how I like them. One couple invited me to sit with them when I stopped for coffee halfway through my walk. So, that ends up to be very positive which then becomes comforting.
You know I'm not going to stop after just two paragraphs....Ha!
A few quick, minute-by-minute activities that provide comfort because they put me in a positive space, again, are: sitting on my balance ball at any time and doing even two minutes of...something. And other things such as stretching my arms at the door frame...comforting because I couldn't do it a while back when my muscles were so sore.
    Okay....tout fini!
