A sign at my library says "England doesn't have a kidney lake, but it does have a Liverpool." That's what I thought of when I saw your links. Just as dumb! LOL!
Isn't it strange how the thought of doing a recreation of that picture had never crossed my mind, but now I can see why people would want to do it? Definitely something wrong with that.
I had no idea what this was until this past Christmas when my daughter had to explain to me just why we had to go see this intersection. And why I had to take a picture of her crossing the road. Several pictures, to get it just right. I was happy that I wasn't the only person having to stand on the island being glared at by the locals.
