I know this is a few days later than it should be. The only functioning computer in our house I am certain we owned on the ORIGINAL 9-11. So that makes the hardware circa 1998-2000, all this to say it moves with great constipation. Hopefully I'll be back on a modern computer within the week and blogging more faithfully.
As for the month of April, I would say it was rather cruddy but it's done and over now. Thank God.
I definitely had a few too many Easter treats. And because we're moving we are having takeout or restaurant fare almost every dinner. And the stress of moving caused me to overeat. And all that added up to a cruddy month. But at least I can report I'm doing much better with May so far!
All around half-hearted. Some high moments, some low but really lacking the structure and consistency as usual. I should mention I've completely fallen off the strength training wagon and I'm sure my results will be better once I get back on.
WEIGHT AND MEASUREMENTS
I wish I could skip this part. I'm roughly five pounds heavier but am taking measures to correct that.

OTHER APRIL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
-Managed five blogs which is better than none
-Returned to sparking after a few weeks of hiding and feeling stressed out and pudgy. I'm very glad to be back!
-Made big strides with Operation Clean Room and reached a surface-deep clean, meaning it looks clean unless you peek in drawers or corners or snoop or sneeze ... which means a facade of clean. I'll still be cleaning a while longer because I want the junk drawers sorted and all the extras purged!
In sum, April was really a case of:
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter.
Try again. Fail again. Fail Better.
Better to try and fail than not try at all. I'm pulling out all the PROT-power this month and by the looks of it May will fare much better!
GOALS AND DIRECTION FOR MAY:
Write 12 blogs, computer willing
Write 3 chapters in the novel, computer willing. One chapter down!
Hopefully lose all 5 pounds of recent lardy gain but I'll take any loss. 1.6 pounds down!
Track food and calories every day, all 31. I have been talking about this for months and here I am finally getting around to it. So far we stand 7 for 7!
Try to keep within caloric range which is ballpark 1500 calories.
I have been tracking my weight, exercises, calories, and how many hours of sleep. I've always thought I get enough sleep or that I'm controlled enough not to overeat because I am tired. The reports say otherwise. On nights I get too little sleep I average around 1900 calories. On nights I get enough sleep 1300-1500. So the new goal .... get 8 hours of sleep every night.
Reincorporate strength training. If you're curious, I'm considering the Brazil Butt Lift DVD set (a Beachbody product). It looks a bit intimidating!
Spend at least 4 hours a week cleaning and organizing belongings
Average 4-5 hours of deliberate exercise per week
Take measurements at least every month to compare, but weekly preferred
And the last one I'm super excited about. The day I can do a photo blog of my new room at the new house all neat and organized! The goal for this month is that ALL my stuff fits comfortably in my new room, as in no visible clutter or boxes. (Is it sad I measure my progress by boxes? As in "I got rid of approximately one junior carton full of stuff tonight"?) I expect to switch living addresses within the week and hopefully I'll have pictures of the room before the month is over!
