Extra training and a BUSY day!

Today was definitely a day of go-go-go! We got up this morning, ate a little breakfast, and by 7:15 we were out for a run with Jan. Running outside is SO DIFFERENT than running on a track! Wow, hills suck. And I was pushing Max in the stroller. But you know what? We did it. We walked a few times, nothing too long, but it was a great workout. We then went right to the gym, put Max in the nursery and swam a half mile. By the end of that I was tired. We came home, Max played for about an hour and went down for a nap. I had some lunch and also went down for a nap. I woke up at about 2pm, and then I had to wake Max up at 2:20 because I had an appointment to get an oil change at 3pm. So I got him up, managed to get some clothes on him, and headed out the door. Only then did I realize that the poor kid never ate lunch! So I stopped and got him a cheeseburger.
Got to the oil change place a little early. Max had his trains, and they have a little enclosed area for kids so that helped. Of course, 40 min in they came in and told us that we needed to repair $500 worth of stuff on the car. Whatever. So then I asked him what was covered under warranty, and we got the price down to under $150 even with oil change. So I was happier with that. Why wouldn't they check if I had a warranty before telling me that crap? Ugh.
Anyway. Those repairs took an additional 90 min, so we were there for about 2-2.5 hours. They had cookies and gave Max a balloon, and since he had his trains then he was actually really good. He was hungry by the time we left there, though, so we went and got dinner at Subway and then went over to Coli to see Johnny. We didn't get home til after 6, and he went to bed at 8...so he was here and awake for only 3 hours all day. Pretty ridic. And truthfully, he was darn good considering that fact. I was very happy with his behavior all day. And I loved spending the time with him. Only 8 more school days then I get him all day every day! Of course, I'm totally exhausted and can barely keep my eyes open.
