Running makes me hungry!!! Ran my 10K on May 5, and of course celebrated with some delicious Mexican fare. I absolutely consumed more calories than the average day, or probably should have, but I also made some reasonable choices. I swapped half the fajita meat for extra peppers and onions; chose lite sour cream in appropriate measurements; ate only one Wholly Guacomole 100 calorie pack; skipped the cheese and ate nothing fried; limited myself to two fajitas; and skipped the alcohol...I'd rather eat my calories than drink them. My weakness, without a doubt, is tortilla chips, they are addictive! All in all not horrible. And I'm finally starting to understand the phrase "all things in moderation." Food is not the enemy...it is my fuel...and a day here and there that exceeds my recommendations will not derail my entire plan, long term goals, or all that I have accomplished. I CAN get back on track!
