Dr`s Visit - BP of a teenager

Monday, May 07, 2012

Went to the Dr`s today - just a regular visit to get my prescription renewals.
Weight on their scale is down 25 lbs since last visit Oct 2011 - which was great since I had running shoes on this time and not last time. Since I started seriously trying to lose weight in January I've lost 22.5 of those lbs.

They test your BP - machine does it 6 times and then gives avg. I was 96/63 - her comment was BP of a teenager. I guess exercise and diet really do make a difference!

I'm on BP meds due to having Raynauds - which causes blood flow constriction to fingers/toes - especially in the cold. She had to reduce them because BP is getting too low - explains why in the last month I've had a few "head rushes" as I call them.

Overall, healthier than I have been in quite a while so it is good news - makes me want to continue to work to reach my goal of a total of 36lbs lost!

I, too have Reynauds,, I was already on BP meds for few years before being diagnosed with Reynauds a couple years ago.. maybe that was why I did not always have blue extremities..
I am so happy about your commitment and weight loss! Go for it!!
