Well, I guess I will do a quick vacation update blog. To anyone wondering, it is true that its easy to gain weight on a cruise, I gained 7.2 lbs. I did however not watch anything I ate or drank, I was truly on vacation from everything. We traveled with friends of ours who have twin girls who are 8. My girls are 9 and 6. They have been best friends for probably 6 years (the older ones obviously).
So, we left on Friday, and got into Miami at just after 11pm. Got to the hotel, for a quick sleep, woke up and were on our way.
Here are the 4 girls at the first dinner (this is the first cruise we have made it to all the fancy dinners. This particular night you didn't have to dress up because not everyone has their luggage yet).
Our first stop was our most favorite island ever, Half Moon Cay, which is Carnivals private island. Unfortunately it was 74 degrees and rain. We were one of the few to get off the ship, but were determined to swim there. We froze, it was worth it.
Here is one of the main reasons for my weight gain. Should have taken a picture of the actual burger but this will have to do. They were designed by Guy Fieri and they were delicious!
Next up.... Snorkeling in St. Thomas. This was a beautiful day. First pic is a turtle underwater
Next is Megan driving the boat (this was an awesome excursion that my kids absolutely love. The crew was the best EVER).
The boat was the Virgin Breeze (Formerly the Bimini Breeze).
Here is the group of 8 of us.
Our ship in St Thomas
Me and each of my girls prior to one of the dinners.
The hubby and I
Grand Turk
My favorite towel animal of all time
The kids and their favorite place..........the hot tub (although it was more of a warm tub)
Overall a great trip (even with the rain). Never know how traveling with friends will go, but this one was successful. Fun was had by all. Everyone got along, even all 4 kids. Remarkable.
Now, whens the next cruise...............
