It's not often I include fitness in my daily routine, and so when I do... I'd like to be able to track it. I'm not a technology person, but I can use a computer. I have looked all over the internet for a map of the park I walked yesterday. I have found NUMEROUS maps, and yet I can't figure out for the life of me how to "track my walk" to include it on Sparkpeople. I usually always use Sparkpeoples map my walk thing, but the paths aren't clear to be able to track it. I know in my mind exactly where, and what path I walked, in fact I could walk it again tomorrow, but none of the paths are clear on the maps I'm viewing because of the trees. I don't have a pedometer, or anything that I would be able to say I walked exactly this far and for this amout of time, so I can't even track it on Spark that way. All I can do is estimate. It's frustrating to me that I have earned some fitness minutes, and have no clue how to track it. This should only make me want to workout more this week to make up for the fact that I can't track, but I'm stuck on the fact that I can't track THIS particular walk. I spent time with my friend Jennifer yesterday, and she hasn't ever been so we drove around the park for a little bit yeterday so she could see where everything is. They have a huge lake to go swimming with a little beach, and we are thinking about going sometime this summer. Then we decided to pull off by another smaller lake, and go for a little walk, which turned into a much bigger walk. Times like this don't feel like workouts to me because I feel like I'm just enjoying what nature has to offer. Of course then if I get hot I find any body of water, and get my feet wet to cool off. Normally I walk in flip flops, because my feet HATE shoes! Lol. I know it's probably not normal to walk long distances in flip flops... but no one said I was normal. Haha, and I'm okay with that. I just wish I could track it is all. Oh well!
Sunday before the walk I went driving with my dad. We ended up in the park in Noblesville that has train rides for $5.00. It was a lot of fun. Doesn't take you very far, but it was something to do.
I just need to track my calories from the weekend and I'll be good to go for this week, and weigh in on Friday.
