As a little bit of a birthday present for my BFF (her birthday was Saturday), I baked some gluten free bread. It smelled fabulous and was pretty darn easy. I used the King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Bread Mix.
I took the day off so I could take her out to buy her some running shoes as her present and then we will be hitting up Johnny Garlics for lunch. I need to check their menu to see what looks relatively healthy.
In other news, I did a 4.5 mile run yesterday. I thought I should cut back every other week to make sure my foot/ankle/calves/peroneals were recovering nicely. They feel pretty good today so I think I'll up it to 6.5 or 7 next Sunday. Then keep alternated with 4-5 miles for a month or two. I have registered for a 5K on 6/10 and a 10K on 9/1. I'm hoping that I'll be good to do the Las Vegas RnR HM in December. I'm going to wait until later to register...I don't need another $150 shirt.
Now I'm off to do some elliptical and Slim in 6. Have a fab Monday!
