I think yesterday's sunshine has helped me start to move out of my funk. Even though the get-togethers had been canceled, I liked what was scheduled and decided to go anyway.

It was a wonderful day to take a walk along the Connecticut River... sure there was a threat of a passing shower, but I didn't let those dark clouds deter me. Dappled sunlight shone down through those tiny spring leaves. With the foliage not full size, it allowed for a good view of the river. Many folks were out there fishing, What a wonderful forested one mile walk. I did get annoyed with the mallard duck that was keeping pace with me as it floated downstream.

I was thankful that mid afternoon kept the insects napping. Was that poison ivy? Just enough distraction from my everyday thoughts to refresh me.

Sunshine is magic, for sure. So glad you got yourself out despite the threatening clouds -- what a great metaphor for many things. And you strengthened your own momentum!

Your duck was my dog. A dog decided to follow me, but my the time I got to the major highway I was concerned. My husband ended up picking us both up and driving the dog back to its home. Actually it was kinda of inspiring. Hope you enjoyed your walk as much as I did mine!! emoticon

Vitamin N for nature . . . does me good every time!! How come the duck was annoying?? The quacking?? I was really smitten with the ducks playing in the rain puddles on the golf course yesterday: and also the first crop of tiny fuzzy goslings with their Canada geese parents!

Sounds like you refreshed yourself. Did you think about getting in the river and swimming with the duck?? He was probably just looking for some company!!

I'm feeling good as well and I think it's the sunshine!

Onward and upward (or is it downward in our case?)

Take care!

Sunshine is the third most-needed factor in my day. First is oxygen. Second is exercise for my sanity as well as physical health. Third is
sunshine. I moved from grayness to sunshine
as a very young adult due to my need for
constant sunshine. When I think of relocating,
I know I couldn't function well in places that
have a lot of grayness. Have a good day.
