Some Days You Just Can't !

Sunday, May 06, 2012

I have had a very enjoyable weekend because I had my almost 14 year old granddaughter staying with me and also got a chance to take care of my one year old great grandson this afternoon. It did not, however, leave me much chance to get in my usual exercise and eating was the pits! I am a bit of a stress eater when my schedule changes from my usual routine and I got off track. It was worth it to be able to spend the time with grand kids although I think I need to work on learning to handle it better.

I agree, being with grandchildren is the best- so you had your priorities in the right place for the day. I try to plan ahead for easy to make meals when that happens. SOMETIMES it works.

Oooh, can I relate in many ways on this one! I am working towards planning ahead better, but it is certainly not easy. I tend to use the excuse that today is special, whether a truely special event is going on or not, and use that as an excuse to get off track. Just do your best to move forward and start anew!

Good luck sticking too it in all situations. That's my challenge too.

Those days are worth it as long as they don't derail you long term. Sounds like a great time!

You can't be perfect every day. It sounds like you had a really good reason so I am sure you will be back on the wagon right away. I am sure that your grandkids had a good time too!
