Guess what you guys? I survived my first week officially back! Whoop Whoop! Good Lord was this week busy, but I did manage to track all my food intake for the first time in forever and I'm super proud of that.
I started to sit down on Sundays and sort of plan my weeks fitness and food as much as I can. I LOVE making lists. Bucket Lists, Shopping Lists, Exercise Lists, Meal Lists, Goal Lists. Pretty much anything that goes on in my mind will be projected into list form. So last Sunday I wrote out my meals that I would eat this week as well as the days I would exercise and what they would be. Then Monday strolls around and the first thing I see is a message from April, my new friend, about going to eat dinner that evening. This is where it gets tricky to me. Do you know how long it's been since I've had a best friend? Let's face it, girls can be ultra bitches and I have managed to find a really nice and fun person to hang out with. Needless to say when she suggested dinner I was not going to turn this lady date down. But what i did do is go to Cardio class first and then we went and had Mexican. It was just what I needed.
The week went by pretty fast and Friday came. Friday is date night for me and my boy. We ended up going to the Drive in to see The Avengers. Anyone who has not been to a Drive In needs to go now! It's super cheap first of all. $7.00 a ticket foe a Double feature. You can't beat that. Plus concessions are pretty cheap as well compared to normal theaters. This was my biggest cheat night. But I did track everything. What killed me was the funnel cake. We halved one which made it a little better and they actually had funnel cake sundaes which we skipped. So I think that was a victory in itself. Plus we got there around an hour early so there was time to play on the play ground for some extra cardio!
Despite going to bed super late Saturday I got up early and went to my gym in my apartments and did Cardio and Weights. I was pretty proud of myself here because I'm not the most self driven person and the fact that I went into the gym and did something with an instructor telling me what to do is amazing. I went and supported some local bands that night with April. We had a blast. Which I'm the type of person that can have a good time regardless and needless to say so is April.
I joined the Y today. And I tested the Elliptical and the Bike. I worked for about a hour. It was funny because their elliptical didn't hurt my feet like the one at the apartment's gym. It was nice to know that I could do a little more time on it since we feet weren't throbbing. I'm going to start their Spin classes this week. I am super excited about that. I want it to do wonders on my butt. I want an ass of steel and Spin should be able to do it. Hopefully.
I've had a really good week. Got to spend time with people, work out, eat out, and lose a few pounds! Couldn't be better. I actually felt so good that I took a few picture of me with my shirt off. I'm slowly coming to terms with my body and I'm starting to like it more and more. I've always been afraid to post pictures with my gut all hanging out, but I feel like this is part of the motivation that I really need. I'm awesome, who cares if I have a little of the muffin top going on! Curves are in this season right? lol. Should be all seasons!
So that was my week in a nutshell. I feel better that I'm back now. I can see progress already! It's quite exciting! I'll leave you with one last thought.
Bought some exercise shorts today. I was super worried about the length because I don't want my thighs to rub together. Well I wore a pair to the gym knowing that it was gonna hurt like hell, but guess what...my thighs don't touch! That my friends is an amazing feeling.
