In an effort to take control of my eating habits, I have gone back to SparkGuy's theme of starting small and building a positive streat. Instead of beating myself up for all I feel I am doing wrong, I finally realized it is time to focus on doing one little thing right until it becomes a part of who I am. So on May 1, I determined to eat at least three freggies a day this whole month. It is not hard, but it does require that I be intentional. It is amazing how easy it is to go a whole day ingesting no freggies at all! With just a little bit of effort, I have successfully taken in three freggies each day for five days. Yay freggie streak!
Now I want to do more. I am gaining momentum! My first focus will remain on my three+ freggies, but this week I want to add another goal I once had success with: limiting my sweets intake to two or three treats a week. I didn't plan to add a new goal this week, but success breeds success and I am eager to build my momentum even further.
Plus I know sugar makes me tired and I'm tired of being tired. And I need energy to get back on track for my 1000-mile goal for 2012. Getting good fuel in (freggies) and getting bad fuel out (sweets) should help me have the energy I need to meet life's demands and meet my goals.
